WHO WE ARE

Solving
challenges

with craft,

clarity &

conviction.

Glass Atlas is the digital agency of choice for transformation and growth.

We help large businesses solve complex challenges across commerce technology and performance marketing with clarity, craft and conviction.

We exist to help businesses like yours grow sustainably, measurably, and with integrity. That means honest conversations. Transparent thinking. And execution you can trust.

We believe in doing the job properly, with people who care.

Our True

North

“We do the right thing.”

Doing the right thing means cutting through noise with clear thinking, speaking with honesty even when it’s uncomfortable, and delivering work with care and commercial purpose.

It’s a principle that runs through every part of our work, from the way we challenge briefs to how we engineer outcomes that last.

Because trust is earned in the decisions no one sees, not just the results everyone measures.

THE STORY OF
GLASS ATLAS

How Four Specialist Agencies Became One United Force for Growth.

  • 2008

Established in 2008 by Jon Woodall, Space 48 built its name on ecommerce engineering excellence, platform expertise across BigCommerce, Magento and Shopify, and a straight-talking, principle-led approach to client partnerships.
  • 2017

Established in 2009, Bath-based Meanbee was acquired by Space 48 in 2017 to bring deeper Magento expertise and a shared commitment to technical excellence, strengthening Space 48’s southern presence and engineering capability.
  • 2020

Founded by Jon Woodall, Dark Matter Commerce set out to build a collective of ecommerce specialists, uniting agencies with shared values and deep technical expertise.
  • 2021

Foresight Group invested in Space 48 to support the growth of Dark Matter Commerce, fuelling its acquisition strategy and laying the groundwork for rapid expansion.
  • 2022

Shopify Plus agency Brave the Skies joined Dark Matter Commerce in 2022. With a focus on design-led ecommerce for challenger brands, the acquisition deepened the group’s Shopify capability and added 15 new team members.
  • 2023

Founded in 2012, performance marketing agency Bring Digital was acquired by Dark Matter Commerce in 2023. With clients including Cotton Traders, Jessops and Formula 1, the move strengthened the group’s digital marketing offer and helped create a £12.5m commerce group based in Manchester.
  • 2024

Spun out from Space 48’s innovation team, HYPA launched as a dedicated apps venture within Dark Matter Commerce. Trusted by 400+ retailers globally, it delivers BigCommerce apps that power growth, from intelligent search to advanced merchandising.
  • 2025

Founded in 2018 and acquired in 2025, Manchester-based This is Digital added further strength in performance marketing and commercial strategy. The deal brought the group to 180 people, £16m revenue, and added big names like Beaverbrooks and Footasylum to the client roster.

GROW
BEYOND

Glass Atlas. Launched 2025.

Four agencies, one vision.

Bringing together Space 48, Bring Digital, Brave the Skies, and This Is Digital wasn’t about acquisition. It was about alignment: shared beliefs, complementary strengths, and a mutual commitment to doing better work, with better people, for better outcomes.

Together, we created a single agency that combines platform and channel expertise with strategic clarity and engineering rigour.

Because the truth is, many brands face a false choice: do it all, or do it well. Move fast, or build to last. Glass Atlas was created to solve that tension: to bring depth without the drag, integration without the overhead, and ambition without arrogance.

Today, our teams work as one across two key practices: Commerce Technology and Performance Marketing.

But more than that, we work in partnership with our clients, tackling complex challenges with honesty, energy and focus.

Because growth isn’t about vanity metrics or vague roadmaps. It’s about making the right decisions, solving the right problems, and doing it with the right people.

Each agency brought something distinct: Space 48’s technical depth and ecommerce heritage; Bring Digital’s commercial mindset and marketing performance; Brave the Skies’ creative ambition and Shopify expertise; and This Is Digital’s focus on customer experiences and collaborative client relationships.
