The Challenge
The Challenge
Oase operates across multiple brands, regions and customer models, serving B2C and B2B audiences in Europe, the UK, the United States and Australia. Over time, that scale had created a fragmented digital estate, with more than 40 sites spread across different platforms, CMS setups and regional ways of working.
The issue was not simply that Oase had too many sites. It was that every variation added cost, complexity and operational drag. Regional teams were managing content differently, product data structures varied across markets, and platform decisions had become harder to govern at group level. As the business continued to grow, this model risked slowing down launches, duplicating effort and making future expansion more expensive than it needed to be.
Oase’s OneVision strategy set out to create a more scalable model. The goal was to consolidate the digital estate around a single target architecture that could support multiple brands, regions and customer journeys without forcing every market into the same shape. It needed to bring consistency to the core, while preserving enough flexibility for local requirements, B2B complexity and future acquisitions.
Oase selected Glass Atlas as its digital transformation partner to define and deliver a composable architecture built for global scale. Rather than approach the programme as a series of individual site rebuilds, the work focused on creating a repeatable blueprint that could be rolled out across markets with less duplication and lower long-term complexity.
BigCommerce was selected as the commerce foundation for both B2C and B2B, giving Oase a common engine for multi-store delivery while still supporting regional requirements and warehouse-specific operations. Storyblok was chosen as the CMS to create a more flexible, content-first model, giving marketing teams greater control over day-to-day content management across multiple sites and brands.
Product data sat at the centre of the programme. Oase retained Crossbase as its global PIM backbone, but the data model needed to be strengthened to support the wider architecture.
The same principle guided the payments and tax workstream. Oase needed a provider strategy capable of supporting multiple storefronts, currencies and compliance requirements without adding unnecessary complexity to the estate. Glass Atlas led a structured evaluation to help define the right approach for global rollout.
Across the programme, the focus remained on repeatability. New sites, markets and acquisitions needed to become a matter of configuration and rollout, not a fresh replatforming exercise each time. Phase 1 focused on validating this model with an initial migration of 7 sites, with the remaining estate to follow in subsequent phases.
The headless architecture was central to making this model work. Oase could standardise essential commerce capabilities on a shared BigCommerce foundation, while the decoupled Storyblok CMS gave regional teams the flexibility to adapt content and customer experiences within consistent brand guardrails. This balance allowed Oase to reuse the same core infrastructure across markets without forcing every region into an identical experience, reducing duplication while preserving local relevance.

The Results
Our work proved the value of Oase’s repeatable model, bringing seven sites onto a shared foundation that now supports nine markets through one B2C platform. This architecture gives Oase a scalable route across its wider 12-market transformation, making future launches simpler and less resource-intensive.

Given the complexity of Oase's business, we needed a partner with real technical depth, not just a website build. Glass Atlas understood that from the start. Their headless approach gave us the right balance of consistency and adaptability, and the team helped make a complex programme feel structured and manageable. We now have a strong foundation that we can continue to build on.
